The LeMay—America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington includes several elegant luxury cars from the 1920s.
1920 Buick Abadal
Abadal was a Spanish car manufactured between 1912 and 1923. In 1912, Hispano-Suzia salesman and racing car driver Francisco (Paco) Abadal began building fast luxury calls. In 1916, Abadal acquired the rights to Buick in Barcelona.
1926 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Silver Ghost
According to the Museum:
“Henry Royce designed the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost to replace his rough-running six-cylinder ‘Thirty’ with something more reliable, smoother and quieter. He succeeded so completely that the new car, introduced at the Olympia Motor Show and later named Silver Ghost, became the longest-running single model next to the Model T Ford.”
From 1921 to 1935, Rolls-Royce build cars in Springfield, Massachusetts.
1929 Cadillac Series 341B Victoria Coupe
The innovations in this car included safety glass and a full synchromesh 3-speed transmission.
