Welcome back, my fellow preppers.
Here is the standard list from the Red Cross:
Alright, here we go again.
Here is the Red Cross link:
Here is my latest cooking adventure.
Ha!
Good stuff.
As I said last time, we must cook the food from our prepper stash.
Day by day, batch by batch.
Now, the first item on the Red Cross list is water.
But as I said in this video, do not give yourself a heart attack (turns out I did not have a heart attack) do not overdo it and hurt yourself, in the process of carrying in your filtered water.
Later on, I plan to buy me a Berkey water filtering device, to place in my kitchen:
www.walmart.com/…
Berkey Royal Stainless Steel Gravity Water Filter System with 2 Black Element For Under Sink And Countertop Water Filter System
$408.00
Not in my budget for March or April.
Maybe I will buy that in May or in June.
I will still keep about 40 gallons of water all filtered and resting in my Mason jars, in case the city water simply gets turned off at my home, for any reason.
I might even stop filtering water during a local boil notice, because of a problem with the Wichita, Kansas water treatment plant.
Out current water treatment plant is over 80 years old.
They are building a new one, but during the changeover, there may be a boil notice.
Now, I will change the subject, to another way we must stay ready to survive.
I am sure you have heard the news about the folks on the right, who give in to the dark side, anger and hate, and end up killing others, and, often, they then kill themselves.
Most folks reading here at Daily Kos understand what I am saying, but it is worth repeating.
If you give in to anger and hate, you might find yourself attacking others, and you may end up injured or dead, from violence.
I know that such behavior is way more common on the right-wing side of America.
But I feel a need to remind everyone to make sure we on the left do not fall into the same behavior.
Our big activities must be voting, and then communicating to those we elect, to forge ahead with the policies we want.
I recently posted a diary about what I think we will do in November:
www.dailykos.com/…
So, in 2025, after everyone is sworn in, we can pass new:
- gun laws,
- climate laws,
- and codify Roe, as Biden has said it.
So, to summarize:
- Make sure you have enough water, and all the other items on the Red Cross list.
- Make sure you cook the food from your prepper stash, rotating through, looking at the best if used by dates.
- Vote Blue, no matter who!
Thanks for reading.
Hugs!
