i'm pretty new here and i don't know if this is acceptable so i'm going to do it because it's helping me ignore the stack of papers i need to have graded by tomorrow...
Right now, at this moment, there is a diary disappearing into the ether that needs to be read, recommended, and kept alive for as long as possible.

"Dem campaign slogans..."
Dear people in Kosland, this diary is important because it offers this community an opportunity to frame and maintain ideas. We act like we want to have power and influence so why not start doing so? Why not select a slogan that is much better than the current dem drivel and start using it?
i'm waiting...
is it because we like other people to think for us and tell us what to say?
is it because we are too busy reading to participate?
is it because we are afraid of slogans?
is it because we don't believe in marketing?
tomorrow at 2 PM i'll be defending my prospectus for my dissertation. essentially, i'm going to tell four people who have pretty much built their careers on reason and critical thinking that both are necessary but not sufficient....the way we frame arguments is far more important than the facts behind them. while facts matter, while reason matters, while critical thinking matters...all follow after the head turns.
the aformentioned diary is about head-turning....the thinking is secondary.
so, people, please, stroll down to the diary that must be read, participate, recomend and let's use this space to come up with something we can drive into heads across the country so in 2006, we get enough people into the house to get this "man" out of office and on his way to the shame him and his crooks deserve.
