Louisiana 1976’s quilt
Longtime Kossack and tireless worker for health reform, SarahLee, has lymphoma. She’s also had battles with Lyme Disease. We are making a Community Quilt (sort of like a big, cuddly, group get well card) to help support her as she heals. We put up an initial diary for her quilt messages but still need some more -- thirty four. We are also short $86 in donations (figuring $5/message plus shipping). Here is a PayPal link if you would like to help with a donation. Your messages will support SarahLee as she heals. Donations help us buy materials and cover a bit of our time – and we thank you.

And here are a few of the messages, for inspiration:
If 42 is The Meaning of Life, 4242 must be the meaning of love for your fellow human. Take a break from your efforts and wrap yourself in love. Cali Scribe
With appreciation and admiration for all you do for so many; let us help to ease you when life gets toughest. Kitsap River
"when life gives you Lyme Disease, make Lime Rickeys???"
and snuggle in a lovely quilt too of course! {{{SarahLee}}} tnichlsn
We didn't get single payer health insurance, SarahLee, but not for lack of your amazing work. Wrap this quilt around you and think of the love it contains. maggiejean
Peace is powerful. Activist Guy
Hold this close and feel the light we were gifted with bringing to each others lives. You will always have a special place within my spirit. Thank you for all you've given. Oke
Please let SarahLee know how you feel! She will treasure your loving words.

The two quilts we have on the drawing board now are SarahLee’s and Bustergirl’s. Ebby is collecting messages from family and friends for Bustergirl – and I may not need to put up another diary for her.
