There are a few hotspots currently sizzling in the war against Scientology, and this is a whole new arena for the cult.

Not court, they are quite familiar with that turf. What they're not used to is losing in court and not getting their own way. For years, their legal tactics and shenanigans have served them well. It is entirely possible that some of their tactics were a little less than legitimate.

After all, they've been known to stalk people. There are personal accounts that suggest some even harsher methods were employed, including murder or inciting a victim to suicide. There is a story about Duke, an elderly collie drowned in the swimming pool of a hostile judge. Dead cats have appeared on the door step of Scientology enemies.

Before the internet, they could get away with this behavior, as victims were both isolated and terrorized. Today we are seeing what the internet can do. And some of it's pretty funny, as we receive day-to-day court reports from Tony Ortega's blog, 'The Underground Bunker.'

As Tony's reports demonstrate, Scientology hasn't gotten any smarter. Indeed, it seems that desperation has opened up an entire new landscape of dumbth for them, as the below noodle text shall reveal.

Scientology has a history of infiltrating and assimilating into legitimate organizations.

In the past, it has influenced the National Foundation of Women Legislators, ALEC, and the Cult Awareness Network.

Last month, it was brought up that a Rotary Club in the San Fernando Valley was promoting Scientology's dangerous drug detox, Narconon.

This is not unusual. We encounter groups from time to time that are unaware of Narconon, its history and its links to Scientology. Most of the time, we (anonymous/chanology) are thanked by relieved representatives who were unaware of the Scientology connection.

This particular contact with a Rotary Club rep went a totally different way.

To be fair to the organization, I contacted their reps at state and national levels with a copy of this essay, asking for their input. No response.

So, here you go. You never know WHO you're dealing with these days!

One of the things I like about protesting with Anonymous is the humor. Dancing, horrible puns, theme protests...Anonymous fought back against a deadly serious enemy, Scientology, Inc.

The organization has shown it's willing to spend millions to destroy its critics. They spent over a million dollars to get protester Keith Henson jailed in Riverside County. His trial is still able to invoke awe and disbelief amongst lawyers who happen across it.

Scientologists are, for the most part, utterly humorless when it comes to discussion of their chosen religion. In fact, "joking and degrading" are criminal acts within Scientology.They are not unlike members of the tea-flavored elephants of the GOP.

It seems that some brilliant Democrat strategist has taken a page out of the Anonymous' "Jokers and Degraders" playbook, resulting in tactics I can only cheer on and encourage lawmakers to do more of.

It's been 15 years or so since Jeff Hawkins designed the incredibly successful "Exploding Volcano" commercial for Dianetics.

It's also been 15 years of struggle to expose the lies, crimes and abuses of Scientology, Inc, in both doctrine and behavior.

The Scientology organization kept an iron grip on Scientologists and information allowed them. Now, thanks to the internet, members are looking, and for some, what they've observed internally suddenly begins to make sense in a new context.

Scientology, Inc. has reached that point in its evolution where splinter groups form and break off. The wall of secrecy is crumbling, and a real exodus has started to occur.

David Miscavige's pet project, establishing huge monuments in various cities called "Ideal Orgs," took off like gangbusters as the enthusiasm whipped up by Scientology PR inspired members to donate as much as they could afford.

But, it's never enough. Having been squeezed beyond tolerance, Scientologists still avoided discussion amongst themselves. That would be "nattering," and there would be consequences. The only discussion allowed is how great the tech works.

The shutdown on free discussion is beginning to crumble as concerned followers begin to take note.

I wish to introduce you to Debbie Cook, ex-high level official within Scientology, Inc. and still a true believer in L. Ron Hubbard's teachings.

In the early 90s, business was booming for L. Ron Hubbard's brainspawn, Scientology.

Ron lectured that the main goal of a Scientologist is to get up the Bridge, bring in others, and thus create a Scientology planet.

Ron eschewed fundraisers; bake sales, pirate nights and other events. It was important, he said, to keep the acquisition of MEST (stuff, things, possessions) subordinate to selling courses and auditing sessions that bring people in and keep them coming back for more.

These days, it appears the wee mite who succeeded Hubbard, the miniscule David Miscavige, failed to take those lectures to heart.

He should have listened to Ron. For some reason this high school dropout former Commodore's Messenger thought he knew better than the Old Man, and people inside the organization are beginning to notice.

In a time when the 10th anniversary of 9-11 is nigh, bloggers and pundits alike are sharing their views on this horrific attack on American soil. Many are emphasizing remembrance; for the victims who died, for the First Responders who lost friends and, in some cases, their health, for the acts of terrific heroism on the part of ordinary citizens.

Yes, and also let us not forget the vultures who gathered after the towers went down.

Scientology news yesterday was all about Laura DeCrescenzo's lawsuit against Scientology, Inc. Her complaint describes working full-time as a twelve year old girl in Los Angeles, far from her family in New Mexico.

Her case was initially dismissed due to the statute of limitations on such complaints. Happily, the justice system is flexible enough to evolve to meet special needs; in this case, laws protecting children and vulnerable adults from exploitation by organizations such as destructive cults and human traffickers.

There is very little Scientologists hate more than mockery and bad publicity. The organization seems to be losing its mojo. This once-secretive organization has been able to hide behind the protection of religious status for so long, it has forgotten how the real world works. Amusing leaks of Scientology internal videos are always fun, and another one hit the fan last week.

They can't plug the leaks, they can't run the court system, they can't hide their crimes any more. This is in great part due to the over 1000 ex-Scientologists, some of whom are working with Anonymous and Project Chanology to expose Scientology crimes and abuse.

June 2011 has been a very tough month for the cult of Scientology!

John Travolta is actively promoting another iteration of Scientology's 'Purification Rundown,' a dangerous bit of unscientific quackery concocted by college dropout L. Ron Hubbard and some junkie who wrote him from prison.

Clearly, there are no more qualified people to create a medical treatment for drug rehab and detoxification than a junkie and a cheesy pulp fiction hack, right? So it should be no surprise to learn that the program is dangerous.
