As a follow-up my prior comment on the subject of the appropriate form for diaries dealing with polling, I realize that we need to create a form suitable not just for polling diaries, but for all diaries, and I endeavor to provide after the break a suitable form for a diary about any and all issues. Please feel free to use this to guide your diary writing in the future.
(My Issue) really doesn't get enough attention around here. I don't know why, because (my issue) is (over-generalized statement of importance). Indeed, if only the Democrats would take a strong position on (my issue), rather than being (non-sensical anti-Democratic slur (e.g., "DINOs," "Liebercrats"), they would be guaranteed victory. Only (Politician who I like) is a true leader on this subject, for (he/she) has introduced a bill that deals with (my issue).
However, (Member of Congressional Leadership I do not like) is refusing to push this very important bill forward. Instead, (he/she) is being (non-sensical anti-Democratic slur). (Widely discredited person/website) points this out:
Lengthy, rambling block quote that appears to have little or no relationship to issue. Ideally, should also constitute copyright infringement.
Therefore, the only solution to (my issue) is (accomplishment of something that cannot happen). Only (politician who I like) is showing leadership on this issue. In contrast, (member of leadership I do not like), (presidential candidate I do not like), and Joe Lieberman all do not. I hope (presidential candidate I like) will support (accomplishment of something that cannot happen).
Some people say (accomplishment of something that cannot happen) is impossible because (completely sensible argument). However, (cliche that makes little sense, such as, "if we try, it will happen" or "we must do it anyway for it is righteous"). Do you stand with me, or do you stand with the (anti-Democratic slur)?
(Call to action in ineffective way, ideally with use of profanity.)
