It arrives every October...like clockwork. It's National Coming Out Day. I have posted a diary as a place where people can share their stories if they wanted too three times since I became a member of Daily Kos, in 2005, in 2006, and in 2008. In lieu of all of the bad news in the GLBT community recently (teen suicides, gay bashings, murders, hate crimes, et al.), I feel like we need some time to come together. I thought this might help.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I've shared my own story in parts...a couple of times:
here and
here and probably elsewhere.
A man must consider what a rich realm he abdicates when he becomes a conformist.

One of the main features about this sort of diary is that I promise to read all the comments and give everyone a meaningful response. That will be harder this time since It's a teaching day...but I will make every effort. I apologize if some responses take longer than others. I encourage other people to pitch in. It's difficult to work towards a common goal until we really get to know each other.
Not all those who wander are lost.
