Folks, I've been trying to get this point across: The illegal war of aggression we are about to engage in has very little to do with humanitarian reasons related to the chemical weapons attack in Syria. This is preordained; a policy coup by the neocons/neoliberals.
That's why the ongoing propaganda campaign to justify this crime (with the help of CNN, MSNBC, FoxNews, et al) looks like such a Banana Republic communications hatchet job.
You have to realize, in a sense, our country has been taken over by madmen (this is not about Obama). It felled already in a silent coup by powerful forces within the military industrial complex.
This is a move for world domination; a neo-imperialist move. The gutting of our constitutional protections, the surveillance police state, has been put in place to (among other reasons) control the population once the system takes off its mask.
It is very likely that once the first tomahawk missile is launched we will be heading towards a conflagration and a possible confrontation with Russia, China, Iran.
This is what these people who have been working at the plan for decades had in mind to begin with: it is a madman's (as in the personalities behind this) push for world domination...
Here's Gen. Wesley Clark giving you some insights about the coup:
Either way, this topic has been covered by other respected people.
Think about something: You already know (or suspect) that the reasons being bandied about to justify this war of aggression against Syria are suspect, that they don't make too much sense. Well, the reason is because they don't any sense. It's a lie.

‘Neoconservative’ Needs to Be Retired. Why Not Try ‘Imperialist’?
Earlier this week, I Googled “neocons and Syria” and learned that the former want America to go war in the latter. The first story Google offered me was by David Corn in Mother Jones. “How to Be a Good Neocon When It Comes to Syria,” read the headline. The subtitle read: “With Obama moving cautiously, some hawks are angling for a US invasion.”
How to Be a Good Neocon When It Comes to Syria
What do the most hawkish neocons desire in Syria? A full US military presence in the air and on the ground.
In recent days, hawks on the right (and the left) have pumped up the volume in calling for US military action in Syria. Last week, President Barack Obama sent a letter to key members of Congress saying that US intelligence has obtained evidence of "small-scale" use of chemical weapons, presumably by forces associated with the Syrian government. But the White House has noted that the "chain of custody" for these weapons hadn't been confirmed and that further corroboration was needed. The use of any chemical weapons in Syria by government forces would violate the "red line" Obama declared last year.
