Well, Trump didn’t leave town for the weekend, but he made sure to stop in at his DC hotel, probably for a ruined steak, and maybe so that he can keep claiming to be a real estate professional on his taxes.
And his “administration” spent the weekend insisting they were serious about holding health care hostage for construction money for the wall. Yes, money from us, not Mexico. And yes, he meant the same wall.
By Sunday night, we all had become aware that the AP had filed their exhibit in the 25th Amendment proceedings: the transcript of Trump’s rambling and largely unintelligible “interview,” given in the Oval Office on Friday.
We’ll give you a damage report.

David Waldman, author of “KITM: Art of the 3 figure Deal”, brings us the story of people who actually figured out how to really make it big in this business. It’s amazing what one can do when not burdened by the overbearing weight of excess scruples. David explores Media Matters’ report on how Breitbart.com is the communications arm of the Mercers' empire. Matthew Gertz’ tweet storm provides many more details. Many can dream, but nobody can grift like a Trump. Germany catches Ivanka fever. Ivanka moonlights as various United States representatives while repping her wares. What do you know? Jason Chaffetz is stepping down from Congress as early as Friday. Christina Wilkie at the Huffington Post is crowdsourcing an investigation into Trump’s inaugural donors and you can help! This weekend you can follow Donald P. Trump’s twitter countdown/conniption to 100 days in office, or you can read up on a name you’ll soon be reading up on: Ezra Cohen-Watnick, bagman for Devin Nunes and pal of Michael Flynn and Jared Kushner.
(Thanks again to Scott Anderson for the show summary!)
