One of the nicer moments from last week was the end of Nazi-sympathizer, Islamophobe and all-around dickhead Sebastian Gorka’s tenure inside of the White House. The Nazi-sympathizer’s rise from fringe hatemonger into the White House is a classic case of how godawful this last election’s results were. And his responses to the stresses of being called out for his well-documented ignorance and general terribleness were sad and pathetic to put it mildly. So, when it was announced Friday that Gorka has “resigned” from his position int he White House to join fellow asshole Steve Bannon in the public sphere—where they can presumably personally profit more effectively at this point—it was not a surprise. What was a surprise was how quickly the White House pulled the rug from out under Gorka’s story, saying that he didn’t actual resign but that he wasn’t coming back. Chris Hayes presented an email from the White House that predated Sebastian Gorka’s resignation letter. The title of that email?
STAFF DO NOT ADMIT
Teehee. Hayes went on to explain that the email had “circulated amongst the Secret Service staff.” The phrase “DNA” stands for Do Not Admit.
JOC,
Please notify officers of the following staff DNA:
Sebastian L. Gorka (EOP- blue pass holder)...he has been made a DNA in WAVES and his pass has been deactivated (DNA)…
Hayes explained that the White House sent an additional email to staff trying very hard to make sure they got the first memo.
RE: STAFF DO NOT ADMIT GORKA
Mr. Gorka is likely in possession of his PIV and the WH Pass, as his DNA status was performed without him being on Complex.
Hayes went on to explain that two staffers that spoke with MSNBC said this kind of memo was not normal for someone who had “resigned.”
The good news is that Gorka is out. If he was humiliated a little on the way out, it is the least that karma can do. The bad news is that this doesn’t solve the fact that Gorka’s wife, and fellow Islamophobe, Katharine Gorka is still an adviser on foreign policy to unpopular President Trump. Whether he was being caught editing his own Wikipedia page or just talking out loud in public, Sebastian Gorka should never have left his hiding spot under that bridge in Hades.
