Last night I wrote a diary asking people if they could suggest/recommend a novel/author that they enjoy reading to others looking for a new book to read.
In the comments section it was suggested that a different diary be written that asked people to list a favorite older movie that they would suggest to others looking for a good film.
I though that I’d write such a diary and the first film that came to mind was one in which I originally saw long ago and I highly suggest to people...Stalag 17
It is a drama/comedy focusing in on a POW camp during WW II, staring William Holden who won an oscar for his performance in the film.
Please do not read the link above if you want to see the movie and have not as it contains spoilers.
Basically their is a mole in the camp and the main character suspected is looked on with increasing suspicion by fellow camp prisoners. Is he the actual spy? The film is filled with suspense, bits of humor and very good acting. If you’ve never seen it I strongly suggest it.
How about you? Is there any older film that you would suggest to someone looking for a good film to view?
