The Pacific Northwest Truck Museum in Brooks, Oregon, is dedicated to the preservation of trucking history. Founded in 1989, the Museum preserves and displays all aspects of trucking history, including trucks and trucking artifacts. Over 75 trucks are on display. Shown below are some of the trucks of the 1940s and 1950s which are on display.

1954 Murty Flat Top Design
Murty Brothers started business in 1938. In 1939, they developed the Twin Steering Axle and patented it in 1943. In 1949 they designed the Air Spring Brake and later sold the patent to Bendix. In 1951, they developed and patented a mechanical tilting cabover truck cab.
This flat topped design was especially built to haul long steel, pipe, and other long materials.

This truck has a 205 horsepower Thrermodyne engine with a 15 speed triplex transmission. It has over 2 million road miles.
