Hello, late shift (except for you lucky West Coasters, where it is still a reasonable hour)!
So, on the night, the Democrats had a strong start and an uncertain finish. After winning a Maine House special in an utter rout (the district was blue, but Democrat Sean Paulhus still well outperformed the 2016 numbers here), the Democrats got their signature win of the night when Democrat Pam Iovino defeated D Raja in Pennsylvania's 37th Senate district, a flip which moves that chamber to a tantalizingly close 28-22 GOP edge.
But the much-watched Wisconsin Supreme Court race, which has seen the liberal candidate (Lisa Neubauer) lead for most of the night, has lapsed into a dead heat. With 86 percent of precincts in, it is a 50/50 race, with Neubauer staked to a tiny 5600 vote edge.
