The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane, Washington, recently hosted a major exhibit: Luminous: Dale Chihuly and the Studio Glass Movement. The exhibit featured the works of 33 major artists. Shown below are some of the works by Dale Chihuly which were displayed.
Dale Chihuly, born in Tacoma, Washington, in 1941, is the artist who is most closely identified with the Studio Glass Movement. According to the display:
“Celebrated for his experimentation with form and color, he was an early champion of studio glass, working collaboratively with glass designers and artists in Europe and the United States in the late 1960s and 1970s.”
