Frequent visitors to Daily Kos support Elizabeth Warren. “One very persistent woman.” Indivisible’s Scorecard. Up from the comments. What if?
Based on kos’s polls, a majority of frequent visitors and core members of Daily Kos support Elizabeth Warren for President. After he posts a poll, Elizabeth's numbers are usually near or over 50% for a couple of hours — Frequent visitors to Daily Kos vote first. But after a few hours, the results shift because messages go out on social media and by by email asking supporters of candidates to flood the vote (and there is nothing wrong with that). And this truth is self-evident: Not all members and all Admins support her. Yet.
Wherein she calls herself “One very persistent woman”:
Kerry Eleveld posted a diary last night: Only one Democratic frontrunner remained rock steady as chaos overtook Iowa: Elizabeth Warren. Therein I found this tweet:
“On Tuesday, Donald Trump will make a speech about the state of the union.
But I have a message for every American: Our union is stronger than Donald Trump. And tonight, as a party, we are one step closer to defeating the most corrupt president in American history.

Up from the comments
Check out our comments, people are writing amazing comments. Here are a few from recent diaries:
dsb: To me Elizabeth Warren looks like the total package-- smarts AND warmth AND policy knowhow AND experience AND level-headedness AND can appeal to a broad swath of voters AND just looks like the best person to get things done. I haven't been this enthusiastic for a candidate in... ever. Sent her more $ today. Go Warren!!! [dsb's comment also provides links to 2 New York Times candidate interviews. ~2t]
Jabryan744: “The gentleman with the short dark hair [in the picture] is real campaign staff (as opposed to the gang of volunteers) . He’s young and bright and nice as can be.That he works hard is evidenced by the fact that he was here from the mainland on a Super Bowl Sunday. . . He told me something about the campaign that I shoulda known, and didn’t. Warren’s campaign pays staff living (union) wage. . . with health insurance. I call that walking the walk. Hard to argue that everyone deserves a living wage for their labor if you don’t pay it to the folks who work for you. . .
There’s no part of Warren’s young staffer that isn’t impressive. But I really liked the quiet way he explained that there is really never a need to go negative on another candidate. I strongly believe that too. But I get the sense that the message is being conveyed by the Senator through the ranks. Perfect. Apart from that, the campaign has a feel of competence. The analytics are up, and I get the sense that folk on the campaign know their jobs and they like doing em. I’d love to see the country run that way for a change.
CygnusX1: I remain convinced that [Elizabeth Warren] is our clear best shot to unite the progressive and moderate wings of the party — whether you agree or disagree with the reasons for it, I think it is pretty inarguable that there is a large portion of the Dem base that has issues with or fears about [other candidates] , and … yet Warren doesn’t seem to have that problem. Sure, the republicans hate her and fear her plans, but that’s a feature not a bug.
She has great experience and qualifications. She is amazing at connecting with people directly and breaking down complex topics into soundbites the public can digest. Plus, I think Elizabeth Warren would be willing to really take it directly to trump on the debate stage and absolutely mop the floor with him.
Jabryan744: So someone puts up a diary noting specifically that it’s for people who want to support Warren. It in no way forces anyone to do so. But a few of ya think you should drive by and bash the candidate. For what reason? I just don’t get it. If you are blue no matter who, but Warren isn’t your cup of tea, fine. Don’t primary for her. But be gracious. It may be good practice for a general election — when your candidate may not be on the ballot.
I am off to canvass for Warren. And I’ll canvass in the general for any Democrat who wins the primary. Every single one . . .

‘My biases are clear—I’ve made it clear from the very beginning that we will do best in 2020 if we have a woman leading the ticket. After Harris’ premature exit from the race, Warren is the party’s best bet to nominate someone reflective of the party’s base. But her ability to consolidate the left will depend for the most part on her performance in the early states, and that is unfortunate.’ [kos, 12/31/2019]
‘Buckle down, people, and prepare to fight like never before. Everything is on the line this year. Everything.’ [kos, 1/7/2020]

Community Notes:
The Daily Kos group EWarren2020 supports Senator Warren’s campaign. We avoid being negative about other candidates in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary (one of the principles of her campaign). Everyone is welcome in our diaries. However, we don’t welcome petty bickering about or personal attacks on candidates in our diaries.
In the words of one of our favorite Kosacks, newpioneer, "We're not responsible for the actions of others who may offend, insult, or attempt to sow discord and disunity — that’s on them. We are responsible for our own words and actions — that’s 100% on us."
We ask all group members, supporters of Elizabeth Warren, and people interested in both her campaign and Democratic Party unity to ignore negativity from other campaigns' supporters. As Michelle Obama said, "When they go low, we go high." Let's respond to their negativity with respect and humor, and let’s create peace. (Recipes and cat pictures may help.) "Doing no harm costs us nothing ... pie fights will cost us everything." [newpioneer]
We are doing as much as we can to support Elizabeth Warren in the primary, and we plan to support our ultimate Democratic nominee. [Thanks to newpioneer for the quotes and concepts of this section so far. 2t]
This is a community diary whose purpose is to support Elizabeth Warren in myriad ways. More than 310 Followers, more than 775 donations, more than $25,000 raised by our group! Many members are busy phonebanking and canvassing for Elizabeth.
Indivisible gives Elizabeth Warren a rating of 95, the highest rating of any of the presidential candidates. The next-ranked candidate is 6 points below her. If you come into the diary to quibble, you are wasting your time. We are committed and happy workers. The only way you are going to support your candidate is by supporting your candidate, not by denigrating ours. Nobody is perfect, and all plans will be subject to other branches of government: We know that.
When you comment, you help keep our diary on the Recommended list longer. We love it when you add relevant content! Thank you, everybody, for your support in these difficult times. For the quibblers, for the assets, for the paid: I’m busy caregiving, and I may not respond to you or acknowledge you. I recently had 2 diaries on the Rec list simultaneously, and I still have not caught up with my real-world duties. ~ Peace and Love ~ 2t
This goes without saying:
'Time to remember the best voting advice I ever heard: Voting is not marriage, it's public transport. You're not waiting for "the one" who's absolutely perfect, you're getting the bus, and if there isn't one to your destination, you don't not travel - you take the one going closest.' by Debbie Moon on Twitter, aka DebbieBMoon
A Little Question: What If?
What if histories of the future reveal that readers and members of Daily Kos provided the sparks of enthusiasm and effective effort that ignited Elizabeth Warren's campaign? What if?
Elizabeth needs our support NOW.
Power with, not power over,
2thanks
