Thank Rule of Claw had a pain that brought him to the ER. There he had a terrible surprise. His visit revealed a life threatening problem which turned out to be kidney cancer. See his diaries:

Cancer is terrifying. And fighting it demands a lot of personal fortitude, energy, and spirit — as well as good health care — to heal from it. A community quilt is a way of lending support in the form of words of positive loving-kindness, understanding, and — love. And this is coming from not just from one person but from many, all at once, amplified by a real sense of community. This kind of care and concern, even from strangers, is very powerful. That the words are written on something that a person can literally wrap themselves in is even stronger. Let's do this for him. Let’s blanket Rule of Claw in love and support to help get him through this.
His will be our 168th community quilt.
We need another 29 messages for this quilt — I will keep these numbers updated.
What is a community quilt? It is a quilt containing messages from you, transcribed by me in archival ink onto muslin. My sister and I incorporate these messages into a colorful design, tailor made for the recipient. Each quilt is unique and also very personal. They also have a strong vibe from all the words of love and respect. I’ll say it again, words have great power! Believe me, they really do! Leave a message in the comments below and I will {{{{hug}}}} you to let you know I have it noted.
It takes lots of time and material to make a community quilt and it is a living for me and my sister. We are looking to fund at least 44 messages, enough to make a pattern. If you would like to contribute toward our work, here is a PayPal link — or message me for an address should you prefer a check. $20/message is suggested by no worries if you cannot afford to donate. We still want your message!
Please note, if you leave a message in PayPal or somewhere other than the comments below, please Kos Mail me to make sure I pick it up.
Click here for a list of our completed quilts — there have been 166 to date. We are working on roses’ quilt now. It will be number 167.
