This is going to be a long blog post and a sad one.
For three months or more, I’ve been stating that the DNC and media establishment will find a way to make the DNC presidential primaries a battle between Senator Bernie Sanders and Vice President Joe Biden.
The South Carolina DNC Presidential primary result is a clear pointer of who is likely going to be the DNC Presidential Candidate in 2020.
Senator Elizabeth Warren is the candidate the DNC and media establishment hate to see run against Mr. Joe Biden. She’s very smart, strategic and very effective in navigating the political landscape in Washington D.C.
It’s sad how Berniecrats are not seeing that the establishment will NOT handover the presidential nomination to a self-proclaimed SOCIALIST, a man who will almost 80 years shortly after the inauguration should he be lucky to win. A BIG IF.
A man who suffered a heart attack during the early stages of the primary season is not the smartest choice for Democrats to present against President Trump.
Though Vice President Joe Biden has not yet locked this nomination, however by March 04, 2020, it will be clear that this nomination will mimic 2016 between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Senator Warren will not matter much after March 04.
It is very very very sad that Progressives will once again fail to think and act strategically. Though there is no hard difference between Senators Warren and Sanders, Berniecrats made a silly choice in cast their lot with a man who will lose the Senate to Republicans, re-elect President Trump and unconsciously destroy America with four more years of this current carnage in Wahington D.C.
Who do you think Mark Zuckerberg fears the most to win the White House, Sanders or Warren?
Who do you think Bankers and Wall Street fear the most to win the White House? Warren or Sanders?
Who do you think Moscow Mitch will like salivate to lead Democrats and make it easy for him to return as Majority Leader? Who?
As a black man, I have been emphasizing that SOCIALISM is not our economic and political desire, especially native Africans who have escaped socialism from old men latching to powers, which Senator Sanders reminds most people.
Needless to say that SOCIALISM from an old man with no charisma is not how to run against President Trump.
As long as Senator Sanders stays in this primary which his ego and that of his supporters will not allow them to see, Joe Biden will be the alternative nominee.
Congressional Black Caucus members are now stepping forward to make sure Senator Sanders doesn’t win the nomination. Imagine my dismay when Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina reversed himself and endorsed Joe Biden ahead the primary in South Carolina. It’s a huge signal across the south.
Progressives are making a HUGE mistake with Sanders. I don’t see how he becomes the 2020 DNC Presidential nominee. Even if he manages to win the nomination and wins the White House, he’ll NOT have the Democrats in the Senate to help him govern.
How can Bernie Sanders hope to carry black communities when he contemplated running against President Obama in 2012?
How can Bernie Sanders carry Clinton supporters when in 2016 he ran an earth-scorched primary against Hillary Clinton even as it became apparent he’ll not win enough delegate to win the nomination?
How can he unite the party when his supporters are fond of insulting and trolling anyone who differs with them?
Contemplating running against President Obama in 2012 will not earn him majority support in our community.
I’m open to seeing how Senator Sanders and his supporters cobble together the coalition to enable him to win the White House, the Senate and retain the House of Representatives to be able to govern effectively.
Youthful idealism and foolishly shouting down on dissenting opposition is about to be tested.
Elizabeth Warren or Joe Biden, this is the only choice facing Progressives in 2020.
