Yesterday the New York Times published a hit piece on Obama entitled, "McCain Displays Credentials as Obama Relaxes." The article is a prime example of how Big Media tries to establish narratives and shape the political landscape in the USA.
John McCain usually gets a free pass from the corporate media, because he is a grandfatherly kind of guy who invites reporters onto his 'Straight Talk Express' bus and serves them doughnuts. But the editorial decision to let McCain off the hook in spite of his recent participation in a motorcycle-and-sex extravaganza in South Dakota has lowered the bar for political journalism to new depths.

The debate this evening demonstrated that the Democratic Party has two very able and articulate candidates for the Presidency. As progressives, we have good reason to be optimistic about the upcoming election. I have chosen to support Senator Barack Obama, and my rationale follows below.
