I've always loved black and white photography but never really experimented with it too much, though I have been trying to do more this year. I'd like to really pull back and take some time composing some still shots in black and white, playing with lighting, as well as doing some serious black and white street photography. I have much to learn, but will start with just trying to train my eye.
Here are a couple I took earlier this year on a rainy day...
Granted, the above photos didn't look much different in color, as the chair was black and water is usually, well, colorless. lol.
My plan last week was to set my camera to black and white and shoot in nothing but that. I intended to get around town and do some nature shots, some street photography...just do a little bit of everything and mess around with the in camera black and white settings. Unfortunately, I messed up my ankle somehow and couldn't really get around very well. The one day my ankle did feel better was spent raking up the many many leaves blanketing our yard and the next day said ankle was screaming in protest. So I ended up taking some pictures of things around the homestead for the most part. Follow me below the pretty orange squiggle for some things that caught my eye.
