A local activist coalition in Columbus, OH known as “Sisters Indivisible” wanted to address the issue of the children who have yet to be reunited with their families. It was thought that Judiciary Committee members could place pressure on the Trump administration to move on this if it slowed the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh (besides slowing the confirmation which would be desirable in itself). This is the call to action that was developed and spread to give people another way to push back against these, both of these, horrible situations.
Please use this information as is or tweak it if you see this as a useful exercise. We are hoping to get 1000 individuals in the Columbus area to participate in this action. The more people who act, the better.

Despite a judge's order, over 400 children have yet to be reunited with their families following Trump’s outrageous, cruel, and shameful plan to use children as tools to deter immigration. Politicians have condemned Trump’s policy, but have not remedied the problem. We need to convince them to DO SOMETHING!
CALL TO ACTION - NOW:
Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have real power to bring the nightmare for these families to a conclusion. They can seize that power—by applying this leverage:
“NO – WE WILL NOT VOTE ON KAVANAUGH, MR. PRESIDENT, UNTIL FAMILIES SEPARATED AT THE BORDER ARE RE-UNITED!”
(We are not now asking “Vote No.” We are asking “DON’T VOTE”!)
