Well, it’s that day in between Greg’s first update of the week and Joan’s appearance. How shall we use it?
They kept the “president” up late last night, so I’m anticipating a lot of “executive time” this morning, with Fox & Friends on TiVo. Depending on how groggy he is, and whether he’s still riding a wave of post-rally euphoria, I’m thinking today may be the day we see him blow up the remains of the “negotiations” and send us sliding into the next shutdown/lockout/general strike.
If you’re not already buying up all the milk, bread and eggs for a looming winter storm, you might as well raid the shelves for the next Trump-made disaster, instead.
Hey, if he surprises us all by stumbling into competence, you can just enjoy some French toast.

PODCAST LISTENERS: There’s a new podcast platform in town, and the big news is: this one pays! RadioPublic pays podcast producers on a CPM basis, for listens on their native app (available for iPhones & Androids), financed by pre- and post-roll ads they insert. Not a bad way to support the show, with somebody else’s money!
So if you’re a podcast listener, please consider downloading the RadioPublic app on your Android or iOS phone. Yes, you can still download directly from their site, or listen to the player embedded here at Daily Kos. But it’s listens in their app that count toward payment.
Nothing changes on our end. It’s still Greg Dworkin, Joan McCarter, and even Armando. Plus also, me. And you! As always, we still want your voice on the air with us. Sit down with your smart phone or other electronic recording device and send us your stories and commentary to share with the audience. There’s no easier way to try your hand at podcasting, without all the hassle!
Of course there’s no substitute for having your support via Patreon, or one-time contributions via Square Cash. (And hey, if you want a cool trick for donating sorta-kinda cost free, get their cash.me app and use this share code to get $5 in your account (plus $5 in mine) when you send your first $5 (to anyone)!
For now, how about one on the house? Here’s what we did last time out, on our previous LIVE show:
David Waldman, Most Reasonable Dad in the World, and host of Kagro in the Morning, Billingsleys and Beaumonts the boys through another snow delay morning, all while still bringing us all up-to-date on the latest: Over the weekend more Democratic presidential candidates have declared for 2020, and a record number are women, making news editors lives so much easier. What if we lived in a world where contenders were judged on their merits? Meanwhile, remember the time Amy Klobuchar went after a baseball Hall of Famer for sexual assault? Steve Schmidt stormed off his own podcast when asked about advising Howard Schultz. As 2020 goes, Joe Biden might not be all that. Go where the need is, and the center will come to you. This moment belongs to the bold. People are moving to red states, but to join them, or beat them? Gimmetarians might soon take out the filibuster, so maybe it’s time to get ahead of it with some solutions. Don’t look back to past scandals. It’s time to look forward to stop the bigger scandals. Emmy Award-nominated American news anchor, entertainment reporter, media personality, actress, producer, pilot and entrepreneur Lauren Sanchez’s brother, Michael Sanchez, might be the dirty one in the family that provided texts to the National Enquirer, to incriminate her boyfriend. Bezos’ digital security must have been world-class, but Jeff Bezos and Greg Dworkin have an idea of who might be capable of bone-sawing their way in. Private Mossads for hire are capable of a lot for the right price. Even Saudis might be amazed at what the National Enquirer has stashed away in their safe. Talks on border security sort of resume today. National security analyst Juliette Kayyem empties a lot of what Dan Crenshaw was full of in just a few tweets. Why does the RNC keep handing former Trump bodyguard Keith Schiller money? Another good Republican is unfortunately a dead Republican with the passing of Walter Jones. A great Democrat, John Dingell, also left much too soon.
