As you should all be aware, Bill O'Reilly this week indicated he supported
the bombing of a major American city, San Francisco, by Al Queda.
Of course, this is an outrage - far more shameful than when Eason Jordan said the American military were targeting journalists in Iraq (which they were), far worse than when Dick Durbin said that Gitmo was a gulag (it is), and much more dubious than Bill Maher's assertion that, technically, you couldn't call the 9/11 bombers 'cowards', because as nutso as they were, you've got to admit it takes balls to fly a plane into a building.
Yet those three people above were targeted by the right until they either apologized or lost their jobs - or even both. Now it's O'Reilly's turn.
You MUST visit the
diary mentioned above and call O'Reilly's advertisers, affiliates and any newspapers you know of to express your outrage at this insane terrorist sympathizer. It's your duty as a liberal. Let's take this bastard down and remove another shill for the administration from the TV and radio landscape forever.
And when you're finished with that, I want you to come back here and take part in the Bill O'Reilly Google-Bomb.
Here's how a Google-Bomb works: You simply place a link to the subject's website with the words "terrorist sympathizer" in the link.
For example, Bill O'Reilly is a Terrorist sympathizer.
What this does is it associates O'Reilly's website with the phrase 'terrorist sympathizer', so whenever anyone searches for that phrase, they get Bill's site in the results.
If you do a Google search for 'miserable failure', you get George Bush's white house web page - that was another Google-Bomb. Search for 'Rick Santorum' and you'll get Dan Savage's website, Spreading Santorum - another benefit of heavy Google-Bombing.
Now, to do this yourself, just put the following on your websites, blogs, email signatures, dKos signatures, post it to messageboards, leave it as a comment - wherever you go, make sure you leave your mark:
Now, if you really want to spread the news, include the original dKos diary that brought this to the surface as a link from O'Reilly's name - like so:
This not only slams O'Reilly, but shows people what you're talking about if they bother to look, and increases that diary's ranking in search engines as well.
Ready to take part? Here's the HTML you need to use.
< a href="http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/11/12/01124/752">Bill O'Reilly< /a> is a < a href="http://www.billoreilly.com">Terrorist sympathizer< /a>.
Just remove the space from after each < and the HTML will work.
Godspeed, my friends. We did it to Gannon, we did it to Libby, we did it to Miller and Novak - let's drive the skunk out of the yard.
