This appears as an "update" on the post about Dean and Rahm burying the hatchet (
http://www.dailykos.com/...) , but I think it deserves more attention....
I checked in with Marc Ambider, who wrote the piece above, and he clarified that while Rahm won't stay at DCCC, his new leadership post at the House will more closely integrate DCCC activities with the House caucus.
It seems that Rahm got a "promotion" to Chair of the House Democratic Caucus (and someone really needs to explain why we need a "majority leader" AND a "Caucus chair", but BTAIM...)
But I suspect that this "promotion" may have been a way of getting Rahm out of the DCCC job because he'd alienated the grassroots to such an extent -- and the House Democrats prefer a DCCC that is capable of raising money from the Democratic base, and not just from K-Street.
