As many of you know the I/P debate is one of the fiercest around these parts. Many threads no matter how objectivly written devolve into outright flamewars because people would rather toss flaming cocktails than try and debate the issue. I have no horse in this race personally. Far as I can see both sides are right, and both sides are wrong regarding the situation in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. What I am absolutly tired of is people tossing text bombs in threads that seek to debate the matter from either viewpoint. People making comments strictly to incite rage on either side with the result being the thread devolving into a flame war. I'm tired of it. We should be able to debate such issues with civility here. So, that being said, I'm putting everyone on both sides on notice. If I see a comment in a legit I/P thread that is needlesly inflamatory, I'm dropping a donut on it, not matter which side it represents or who made it. I hope other TU's join me in this endevour, as long as it's truly neutral as to both sides. I'm tired of not being able to discuss in a civil manner one of our greatest foreign policy issues.
Thank you that is all.
Update:
so disruptive or damaging to the community -- that it isn't worth even a debate, but should be deleted from the discussion as being simply inflammatory, simply off-topic, or simply a lie
Yeah, simply inlammatory happens alot.
And I know this is more of a comment, but it's longer than
this
diary that made the rec list.
As far as my views of the issue, I wrote a
diary kinda about it once.
