The rise of the drone vigilante:
Non-Flash
On today's show
DemFromCT will enlighten us on the polling and issue trends of the day, from his regular perch at the top of hour one. And in the second hour, as the talk will naturally return to the topic of Bain Capital, we'll bring in Twitter pal @21law, a Chicago business and real estate attorney with 25 years experience in leveraged buyout practice, to discuss the complex structure of private equity firms, and how they might muddy the waters with regard to just what Mitt Romney did and didn't manage during his work on the Salt Lake City Olympic games.
Be sure to hang around afterwards for Jesse and Armando, and a full day of solid, progressive programming afterward, brought to you by the gang at Netroots Radio!

And because I still care... What's happening in Congress today?
In the House
The House has a short list of suspension bills to consider today, including Rep. Ron Paul's (R-TX-14) Federal Reserve Transparency Act. We'll see if can clear the 2/3 vote threshold needed to pass under suspension of the rules. Later on, they'll begin consideration of the bill with the worst non-acronym name I've ever seen, H.R. 6082, known (by someone, somewhere, I guess) as the "Congressional Replacement of President Obama's Energy-Restricting and Job-Limiting Offshore Drilling Plan." The bill gets an hour of debate, and there are eight amendments made in order under the rule. Here's a fun fact: three of the eight amendments are offered by the Reps. Hastings. That is, one by the bill's sponsor, Rep. Doc Hastings (R-WA-04), and two by a completely different Rep. Hastings, Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL-23).
In the Senate
The Senate will be biding time until they break for their weekly caucus luncheon meetings at 12:30. What'll they be eating? Clotureburgers.
And there's probably nothing else on the menu. That is, unless for some strange reason people come to their senses and reach an agreement, the Senate will be wasting today, waiting for the cloture motion to ripen on the motion to proceed to S.3412, the Middle Class Tax Cut Act. Absent that miracle, the cloture vote comes on Wednesday.
