The lines have suddenly shrunk tremendously. In fact, there isn't really a line any more, just a few people standing around. There's no one waiting outside for a chance to get inside to vote. There are empty booths.
That's a far cry from this morning when people were jumping the fence and the closed and locked gates to get in line.
There hasn't been a child in here for the past half hour. More people are leaving than coming in right now.
One of the voters played "Hide and Seek" with Itzl, but gave up when he kept his eye on her and never lost where she was. She said he was "too smart" for her. Xoco loves playing Hide and Seek, she gets so excited when she finds you, but Itzl, he knows where you are at all times. Out of sight is not out of mind for him. Out of sight just means he needs to pay closer attention.
Xoco also loves Peek-a-boo - her little tail just blurs when she "finds" you again.
I expect there'll be a final burst of people really close to 7:00 pm our time.
But for now, it's slow and quiet.
