I am officially off the clock now, but will be here until the last voter leaves so there are no incidents with my desk and equipment.
If you want to catch up on what's happened at my office-turned-polling-place, these are the earlier diaries.

Part 6
People who are getting off early from to work to vote are here now, along with parents picking up children from day care and school.
It's gotten loud.
Itzl says there are lots of crying babies, and I can see at least three that look unhappy and with mouths open - indicating cries.
The lines are out the door again and at least to the parking lot - I can't see any further than that from my desk.
There are also lines waiting for empty booths again.
There's a woman in a wheelchair and wearing a sequined cap and jacket voting. She says this is her first time voting ever. She's probably in her 70's.
One nice thing about Oklahoma is how we run our elections. We have probably the smoothest, most voter-friendly election process.
Since we redistricted not too long ago, the poll workers have maps to show people where they need to go to vote, and they have a list of registered voters who polling place has changed so they can tell them which new polling place they need to go to. The media has been reminding people to check their new polling location before they leave to vote - but how many people listen to the media anymore?
When people come in without a voter card, they have to show an ID and the get to vote right away. Those who have a voter card simply show the card to prove they are in the right precinct. No ID needed.
Oklahoma has just 2 possible cases of voter fraud ever in our entire history of voting and elections -and those 2 are "possible" because the state election board can't prove one way or the other. I know this because my daughter works fore the state election board and she investigates voter fraud. She also edits and answers phones and does other essential things because there is so little voter fraud reported and when it is reported, she can usually resolve it in minutes.
The crying babies have left now, and Itzl is tired.
We have 2 more hours to go, at least, so there'll be at least one, maybe 2 more updates.
