Much has been made of the "quiet room" tape where Mitt Romney was comfortable enough to say what he really thinks, about American workers and our so-called "entitlement" mentality. Americans who have the audacity to feel like "Victims" of an economy that somehow always seems to put our worker needs, last on the Corporate 'To Do' list.
Well it takes an "entitlement expert" Mitt, to know one. Faced with little option, save apologize, CEO-Mitt went on to doubled-down on his "47% Free-loaders" comments, hoping to strike some of that scarce gold, with the once rabid-Limbaugh-base:
Romney in Utah: Help the needy -- but not by wealth ‘redistribution’
by Robert Gehrke, The Salt Lake Tribune -- Sep 18 2012
[...]
"We just can’t allow America to be a place where it’s easier to get a government subsidy than to get a job," Romney told a group of about 1,150 supporters paying $1,000 apiece to attended a fundraising luncheon in Salt Lake City. "We measure success not by how many people have to be on welfare and [get] unemployment and food stamps. We measure success by how many people we can get off welfare, get off unemployment and stop getting food stamps because they’re earning their own way."
[...]
"We all believe that people in distress need help, and we give them help to pull themselves back up. But we don’t believe in redistribution," the Republican nominee said. "We are compassionate, caring people. We want to help those in need, but we don’t believe that redistribution is the way to create a bright future."

Talk is cheap, Mr Romney. Changing your exploitative business ways --
Not so much. As a CEO very much schooled up in such downsizings matters -- Mr Romney, you more than anyone
should know ...
"Why jobs go ..."
... and where to, too.
Of course Republicans are NOT known for Nation-building -- Not here at home, anyways. When it comes to helping Americans in desperate need, our GOP Gridlockers -- are far, far too often -- nowhere to be found:
Bill to curtail outsourcing is blocked in Senate
by Lisa Mascaro, LATimes.com -- July 19, 2012

The Senate turned back the measure on a vote of 56 to 42, unable to reach the 60-vote threshold to break the filibuster.

The legislation comes from Obama’s package of modest, and typically bipartisan, proposals to spur the still-sluggish economy. It would end tax credits for moving expenses companies incur while sending operations overseas, and use the revenue generated for a new tax break for businesses that return workers from abroad.
Republicans do not oppose the outsourcing measure outright, but prefer an overhaul of the tax code. The GOP blocked the bill Thursday largely because Democrats refused allow amendments, including one that is a top GOP priority -- extending the George W. Bush-era individual income tax rates that expire at the end of the year, including those for wealthier Americans that Democrats want to let lapse.

Of course Mitt Romney, being a severely Republican shape-shifter himself --
is not about to "break the business mold," that helped make himself and his CEO-pals exceedingly rich. Dismantling distressed American Companies. The CEO's 'Cash for Clunkers' Govt-subsidized game-show.
Mitt Romney is NOT about to cook the goose that laid-off all those golden outsourcing-eggs. Nope, despite Mitt's words to contrary (feigning a sincere interest in increasing American Jobs), Mitt Romney has committed to keeping those very profitable Offshore Tax Incentives, firmly entrenched -- along with his Republicans Hate-Govt pals -- and to simply continue rewarding those who continue to send American Jobs overseas:
Romney’s New Tax Incentive for Outsourcing U.S. Jobs
How Romney's Plan Would Reward Foreign Outsourcing
by Seth Hanlon, americanprogressaction.org -- July 16, 2012
The Washington Post recently reported that some of the companies Mitt Romney’s firm Bain Capital invested in were “pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories.” Even more troubling than his business record is his platform as Republican presidential candidate, which includes a policy that would encourage and further accelerate the outsourcing of American jobs to foreign countries.
The former Massachusetts governor would make U.S. corporations’ overseas profits exempt from U.S. taxes. These profits are already treated favorably under the tax code compared to corporate profits that are earned and reported domestically, creating an inefficient bias toward investment offshore.

You see GOP-stonehearts, when someone loses their Job here at home,
through no fault of their own
-- they deserve our help (real help) -- Not our disdain. Not our derision. Not our dismissal.
The 'economic orphans' that Companies like Bain Capital leave wandering the streets, the underpaid workers that Corporate Raiding CEO keep leveraging into pure gold -- these cast-aside Americans are Victims -- who have victimized by a wealth-hording system -- with no incentives to dampen that "sweat-equity" Bain drain.
Victimized by a "reward the rich" Tax system, that GOP cheerleaders show little intention of changing the perverse incentives for, anytime soon. If anything, they will tilt the off-shoring game EVEN more in favor of the off-shoring players ... like Mitt's Plan promises to do.
Assuming they continue to get their me-only, got-mine way, that is.
Assuming the American Voter remains uniformed enough, NOT to finally stand up for, the ever-more-victimized American Worker.
Assuming Mitt Romney doesn't first wake them up to the fact, that pursuing their own 'best interests' -- just might involve voting "D". No matter which side of the 47% divide, they might find themselves on -- this year or next.
Because when it comes to good-paying American Jobs
-- There are "Worker Opportunities" -- and there's those who "Deprive" them. And it pays to know the difference, between the two camps.
Here's a hint: Protecting and honoring "Worker's Rights" is NOT a Republican idea. That's a Democratic notion, all the way.
