Darryl Isherwood of the Star-Ledger takes a moment off from tracking down the Bridgegate scandals to have a laught with this articles on Family Guy' takes on Chris Christie and Bridgegate
The creators of Fox Channel's animated show Family Guy are using Governor Christie's BridgeGate theme to pump up support for the Emmy nomination, sending out a mailer showing cartoon character Peter Griffin setting out traffic cones.
Gov. Chris Christie has often said that people outside New Jersey care little about the George Washington Bridge lane diversion controversy playing out here at home. Family Guy's Peter and Stewie Griffin respectfully disagree. ...
The line is a takeoff on the now infamous email sent by former Christie Administration Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly, who in an August email told former Port Authority official David Wildstein "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee."
Prior to the release of that email in January, Christie made light of the situation, joking with reporters that in fact it was he who had put out the cones to divert two local lanes out of Fort Lee to use by highway traffic.
