Well, Trump kept his actual mouth shut for a day, which is something he’d ordinarily be bragging was “record-breaking.”
He even mostly stayed off the Twitter machine, which had pundits exclaiming that this was the fifth or sixth time he truly became president. But he couldn’t actually make it through the day acting dignified from start to finish, and the world was treated to photos of him taking in the funeral service variously with his eyes closed, in an arms-crossed huff, neglecting to place his hand over his heart at appropriate moments, or WeebleTM-wobbling back and forth before the casket.
But like I said, it was a relatively good day for him. Because everyone should have been talking about the “record-breaking” number of members of his campaign team about whom sentencing memos are being filed in federal court, revealing more by the hour about just how much “no collusion” was going on.
So in all likelihood, it’s back to your regularly-scheduled corruption news today.
Listen right here at 9:00 AM ET!
PODCAST LISTENERS: There’s a new podcast platform in town, and the big news is: this one pays! RadioPublic pays podcast producers on a CPM basis, for listens on their native app (available for iPhones & Androids), financed by pre- and post-roll ads they insert. Not a bad way to support the show, with somebody else’s money!
So if you’re a podcast listener, please consider downloading the RadioPublic app on your Android or iOS phone. Yes, you can still download directly from their site, or listen to the player embedded here at Daily Kos. But it’s listens in their app that count toward payment.
Nothing changes on our end. It’s still Greg Dworkin, Joan McCarter, and even Armando. Plus also, me. And you! As always, we still want your voice on the air with us. Sit down with your smart phone or other electronic recording device and send us your stories and commentary to share with the audience. There’s no easier way to try your hand at podcasting, without all the hassle!
Of course there’s no substitute for having your support via Patreon, or one-time contributions via Square Cash. (And hey, if you want a cool trick for donating sorta-kinda cost free, get their cash.me app and use this share code to get $5 in your account (plus $5 in mine) when you send your first $5 (to anyone)!
For now, how about one on the house? Here’s what we did last time out, on our LIVE show:

Greg Dworkin’s Abbreviated Pundit Roundup was not closed in observance of today’s National Day of Mourning, in case you were wondering. DC’s other big news: Mueller’s sentencing memo on notorious spy Mike Flynn dropped last night, and it’s full of goodies, though you can’t read any of them. Rudy Giuliani: cybersecurity supergenius! Looks like the ИЯA may be on the ropes. Speaking of, Maria Butina’s boyfriend may be on the hook for “espionage light.” House Dems beat polling expectations in their share of the popular national vote. Like Wisconsin and Michigan, North Carolina wants back in on the post-election democracy rigging, on top of the shenanigans in NC-09. Steny Hoyer says the House won’t be seating Mark Harris until this mess is sorted out. And by the way, did the name ring a bell for you? We last heard about Harris when we learned he was one of those pastors who think the bible says the little ladies belong in the home. Former Perv-a-Lago member Jeffrey Epstein managed to avoid giving his accusers a day in court. And the three current Perv-a-Lago members who “secretly” run the VA are back in the news, trying to pocket some cash, to no one’s surprise. It was also time for the exciting “conclusion” of the story of the Saud family feud that somehow led to the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. The problem is, all we learned is that at least one of the factions in the feud is demonstrably insane. And we don’t know if it’s only one. Which makes the idea of leaving the door open to their getting their hands on nuclear weapons a little ticklish. Great idea there, Comrade Flynn! Finally, we take a moment to share some “mainstream media” acknowledgment of the stakeholder vs. shareholder conflation that drove our economy off a cliff, but in a solid gold limousine.
