Can you believe it? How did it get to be November? I haven’t even gone swimming yet this year. May have to join the polar bear club.
I had a realization last month that I don’t go out much. I just don’t go many places. I live in a very small fashion world. Now, I don’t think I dress too bad, but I do mostly wear jeans. I used to wear a lot of jeans and T-shirts, back when I could rock that shit. I don’t even own a T-shirt anymore, or a sweatshirt.
Don’t own any athletic clothes either, which makes sense, I don’t do any athletics. I have a rule about that too. I don’t think anyone should wear athletic clothes out and about unless they’ve just finished, or are soon to participate in, an athletic event. I feel like that about camo too. If you are not in the military or the woods, why are you wearing it?
I am no fashionista for sure. Right now, I’m wearing a pair of blue jean shorts (that come to my knees, not halfway up my butt), a long sleeve black and white striped, cotton shirt, that has white folded up cuffs, black buttons all down the back, and a pair of Jambu sandals.
So, I don’t think I slouch but I sure don’t dress like the people on TV. I kind of thought the way they dress on TV was a part of the fiction. That’s how out of it I was. Until I got new glasses at Warby Parker and the only way to get to the store closest to me is to go through the Nordstroms at the mall.
Well, that was a new world!!! Most of the shoppers didn’t look much different than me, many were dressed far worse, but the employees! OMG! It was so cool the way they were dressed.
“I don’t go out much at night. I don’t go out much at all.” E.C.
For years I thought these lyrics were “I don’t wear much at night, I don’t wear much at all.”?!?!?!
