Good morning, folks. Let’s begin with new polls out of Michigan, Missouri and Mississippi—that show Joe Biden surging ahead in a big way.
Michigan: Biden 54% - Sanders 33%
Missouri: Biden 62% - Sanders 32%
Mississippi: Biden 77% - Sanders 22%
In the MS poll, black voters prefer Joe Biden by a margin of 83% - 16%. In the MO poll the margin is 76% - 20% and finally in the MI poll it’s 64% - 21%. This core and critical constituency is once again powering the Biden campaign.
As pollster Harry Enten notes, Sanders cancelling rallies in MS, MO and rallying in MI instead could be a tell those states are out of his reach?
If these polls are even close to being correct, the Biden campaign will extend it’s current pledged delegate lead and this race will likely be wrapped up before the March 17th contests. It appears by these polls Democrats are wanting unity early, so we can focus all of our fire on defeating the orange menace.
