Inauguration Day is on January 20, 2009. Hopefully, the Obama/Biden ticket I predicted months ago will win, but it might not. Either way, on that fateful day Bush will be out of office, and a new president will be sworn in. Our candidate is running under a unification platform, reminding us that there are neither Red States nor Blue States, but these United States. If he loses, he will be forced to give a concession speech, and will endorse McCain. This is a possibility we must prepare for.
Obama is not preaching Unity for Unity's sake. Whether we find victory or defeat this November, we must begin to unite as Americans; we have very serious problems coming up, the most important of which is our foreign relations. Biden was the obvious choice, for he is most skilled at this very thing.
The rise of Putin's Russia is not a joke. He arms almost every nation and organization hostile to us and our interests. He has killed journalists, dissidents, and critics. He is making threats, and so far he has carried out his threats.
