That's a question that I've wanted someone to ask in the so called "Main Stream Media" since the Bush regime embarked on their Global War on Terrah or GWoT.
My perspective might be a little different from most since I've spent 75% of my life living outside the US. 95% of the worlds population does not live in the US. Here's another interesting stat or two. 75% of US voters DID NOT vote for Bush. The 25% who did, represent 0.8% of the worlds population. Ok, so less than 1% of the world, elected the "Leader of the Free World". And who the heck appended that title to the US presidency? Anyone out there ask the other 95% if that was alright with them?
The often used term, "US interests" has always been a red flag for me and for millions of others who live outside the US. WTF does that mean and why does the "US interest" almost always trump any other interest?
So, the Bush regime keeps repeating the line, "we're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here". They are also happy to repeatedly remind us what a great job they are doing since we've not had a terrorist attack in the US since 9/11. Good job.
But there are some things I'm apparently too stupid to understand.
