Just for the record, let's be clear about something. The meaning of some words have changed in the last few years, and not everyone is caught up.
"Centrist" now means what "Conservative" used to mean.
"Conservative" and "Right" have become codewords for "Radical, Far-Right Conservative".
Let's review:
Centrist = Conservative
Conservative/Right = Radical, Far-Right Conservative
Any Democrat who says they are "centrist" or supports a "centrist" point of view is essentially saying they support a Conservative agenda, albeit watered down from the current radical, far-right conservative agenda. Any politician who casts a vote in the name of centrism has abandoned the progressive core of the Democratic Party.
Progressive values are centrist (in the true denotative sense of the word) according to every poll out there. Do not let Democrats who turn their backs on the party's roots get away with calling their infidelity "centrist"...let's call it what it is: Conservatism.
Thank you.
