Lieberman, Lieberman---what an easy target but, EVERYONE is wimping out viz-a-viz the Cash-Cow Clintons. On the glaring omission to act in re Clinton vs. Tasini in New York, --where Democrats can and would make a definitive Democratic statement-- everyone genuflects AGAIN!, and no one has the guts to give New Yorkers a choice!

The DLC (Hill & Bill's) concerns that a poll would likely result in an endorsement of Tasini is real well founded. This has resulted in a lot of bullying and intimidating--quite successful, to date---to keep the grassroots Tasini out of the spotlight and rob democrats of YET ANOTHER candidate and the chance to choose, a TRUE advocate for the PEOPLE!

If we are sincere about rehabilitating our party and the democratic *process in the bargain, we need to think in terms of genuinely *democratic reform.

Even under Reagan and Bush Sr et al, democrats were democrats and republicans were republicans-- we all knew who was who. We can't wait for history to "out" the real conservatives--it will, it's always the "final arbiter," but that won't help us *today. We can't heal ourselves until we learn where we went wrong, but we are blocked from that knowledge by the powers that be in our own party.
