Let's talk Wisconsin State Senate recalls.
In SD-02, covering part of northeastern Wisconsin (parts of Brown, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, and Waupaca counties), we're rooting for Democrat Nancy Nusbaum to knock out Rob Cowles, the Republican incumbent.
In SD-08, located on the northern side of the circle of ignorance (parts of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha counties), we're hoping to replace Republican Alberta Darling with Democrat Sandy Pasch.
In SD-10, up in the northwest along the Minnesota state line (parts of Burnett, Dunn, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties), we want Shelly Moore, the Democrat, to take out Sheila Harsdorf, the Republican.
In SD-14, in central Wisconsin (parts of Adams, Columbia, Fond du Lac, Marquette, Outagamie, Sauk, Shawano, and Waushara counties and all of Green Lake and Waupaca counties), our candidate of choice is Democrat Fred Clark, and the Republican we want him to beat is Luther Olsen.
In SD-18, around the southern half of Lake Winnebago in eastern Wisconsin (parts of Dodge, Fond du Lac, and Winnebago counties), we badly want bed-hopping Republican incumbent Randy Hopper to get walloped by Jessica King, the Democrat.
In SD-32, in the southwest (parts of Jackson, Monroe, Richland, and Trempealeau counties and all of Crawford, La Crosse, and Vernon counties), we hope to rub salt in the wound of failed Republican 2010 congressional candidate Dan Kapanke, the district's incumbent, by replacing him with Democrat Jennifer Shilling.
Polls closed at 8 p.m. Central Daylight Time, and unofficial results should start coming in shortly.
