The alleged distribution of thousands (some say millions) of prepaid retail store cards of Mexican retailer Soriana to Mexican voters by the PRI, Mexico's longtime ruling party, to buy votes for Enrique Peña Nieto, virtual president elect, is known as @SorianaGate, now a tending topic on twitter.
The progressive opposition candidate is legally contesting the results but the electoral court (whose decisions are unappealable) has a track record of narrow interpretation of the election rules.
Now there are some reports that Bodega Aurrera, a store chain catering to low income Mexicans, owned and operated by WalMart, may be involved too.
Mexican progressives need your help. Can you please call WalMart's Bentonville headquarters and ask them to come clean on this matter? If you agree this is important, also please rec (not sure if this is inappropriate protocol and it's certainly not my style but the matter is important and time of the essence). Thanks.
