This an update to the diary I wrote a few days ago, about candidates who can win, but are running short of cash.
It’s based on Litejedi‘s excellent work. He correlated election predictions with FEC filings to find candidates who are in competitive races but are underfunded.
If you would like to play with data yourself, his spreadsheet is here. Check it out, and see if there’s anyone there you’d like to support.
Or you can donate to Litejedi’s list of recommended donation targets through the ActBlue link, as a quick and easy option if you don’t want to spend time analyzing spreadsheets. (Litejedi’s reasons for picking these candidates is here.)
There are 14 recipients in this ActBlue group. The default is to distribute your donation equally, but if you click Click here to allocate amounts differently or view all recipients you can adjust the amounts as you wish. Even to zero, so you can use the link to pick just one candidate to support, if that’s what you want.
I originally set the goal for $1,000, but we hit it so quickly I raised it to $5,000. We blew through that, too, so I raised it again. Great work, folks! Hoping we can hit $10,000.
These are the recipients in the ActBlue group.
