This week in Trump Russia Corruption we have the statements by former Apprentice producer Bill Pruitt who says that during tapings of the show Trump made repeated comments that were very racist and unfathomably despicable.
“We recorded constantly, we went into the boardroom to set up discussions about how and who should get fired [on the show] without talking and saying directly who got fired, so there was a big ,long exchange, all of which was recorded,” Pruitt explained to NPR. “Out of those exchanges came some really unfathomably despicable words said by this guy who is a TV star. I heard it, I watched it and those things are somewhere in some warehouse.”
In addition to remarks about women, Pruitt said that Trump made remarks that were ”very much a racist issue” directed at African-Americans, Jewish groups and other minorities.
This actually confirms a claim last year by Tom Arnold just before the election that he had himself seen some of these tapes as he told the LATimes shown to him by people who had worked on the show, but they were afraid to release it to the public.
"When the people sent it to me, it was funny," Arnold said, explaining that hundreds of people have seen the footage that was sent around years ago as a Christmas video.
"He wasn't going to be president of the United States. It was him sitting in that chair using the N-word, using the C-word, calling his son [intellectually disabled]," Arnold said.
Arnold then went on to recount the Sunday before the election, allegedly being called by good friend Arnold Schwarzenegger's CAA agent and Hillary Clinton, asking for him to release the tapes.
But at that point, Arnold asserted that the people originally responsible for the distribution of the footage, two editors and an associate producer, were "scared to death."
"They were scared of his people. They're scared they'll never work again," said Arnold. "There's a $5-million confidentiality agreement.
Nevertheless, Trump persisted — and gained access to the White House because no one was willing to come forward with the evidence of his despicable bigotry when it counted.
This means that the dog whistles we constantly hear of Trump’s to the alt-Right and White Supremacists are not our imagination. This is who he really is and who he’s always really been. And he’s been deliberately playing the white grievance card to stoke his base with his attacks on NFL protestors and those who support them like Jemele Hill.
In private, the president and his top aides freely admit that he is engaged in a culture war on behalf of his white, working-class base, a New York billionaire waging war against “politically correct” coastal elites on behalf of his supporters in the South and in the Midwest. He believes the war was foisted upon him by former President Barack Obama and other Democrats — and he is determined to win, current and former aides said.
After his criticism of athletes over the weekend, Mr. Trump made a point of praising Nascar drivers early Monday morning after the national anthem ata race on Sunday went off without protest.
This strategy happens to be the same deployed by Russia trolls and bots in their support of Trump during the election.
Both the “Secured Borders” and “Beyond Patriotic” pages revealed by the Daily Beast were steeped in anti-Clinton rhetoric, with the latter organizing on-the-ground rallies that featured Americans chanting to “lock her up!” In one example from “Secured Borders,” the authors — referring to Clinton as “Killary” — piggy-backed on the outrage over Clinton’s comments that certain Trump supporters are “deplorables.” As the post wrote, “If Killary thinks that being American, loving your country and be concerned about ours and our children’s future is deplorable, then hell yeah count me in in that basket! [sic]”
So you can see that just like the attack on the NFL players for not “loving your country” we see that same gingoistic trend among Russia’s effort to push voter toward Trump and away from Hillary. Trump uses that strategy largely because it works so well.
Russia used multiple fake Facebook groups that were directly racial or focused on wedge issues such as “Blactivist”, “United Muslims for America”, “Heart of Texas”, ”Defend the 2nd”, ”LGBT United” and “Secured Borders” to fan the flames of division in America to benefit Trump. These six groups alone received 340 Million views combined while Facebook has admitted that there were over 400 of these types of accounts.
While we considering that, let’s recall that while all of these allegations of misconduct have brought down Harvey Weinstein — somehow when 13 women accused Trump of sexual harassment and misconduct a year ago he not only escaped it all scott free, he viciously attacked and smeared all those women as “liars.”
[Note the above Video from Chris Hayes’ All In was blocked supposedly because it contained content from NBC/Universal who coincidentally produce both the Chris Hayes show and The Apprentice, so I have to really question what that’s about, and in full disclosure I once interviewed at the NBC/Universal “Black Tower” to help write code to help search and scrub the web for their intellectual content just before the Sochi Olympics, which that really makes me wonder what’s up here?]
And now we have Kellyanne Conway lecturing Hillary Clinton on “not condemning” Weinstein fast enough.
Yeah, right — This is what Trump said about Roger Ailes when he was forced to resign from Fox News over his own sexual harassment allegations.
The GOP nominee for president called the Fox News mastermind, his longtime friend, "such a great guy" in an interview for the Showtime series "The Circus."
...
In the wake of a harassment lawsuit filed by ex-anchor Gretchen Carlson, numerous other women have come forward to speak with investigators. The heads of Fox News' parent company, 21st Century Fox, determined that Ailes must step down from the channel he created 20 years ago. Ailes resigned under pressure on Thursday, effective immediately.
Speaking with NBC's Chuck Todd, Trump repeated one of the defenses put forth by Ailes' side: "Some of the women that are complaining, I know how much he's helped them. And even recently. And when they write books that are fairly recently released, and they say wonderful things about him."
Wow, that is so much stronger a statement than anything Hillary said about Weinstein who was a friend and contributor of hers.
We have to realize this man is a fucking authoritarian bully and pig. Just the kind of person that appeals to Putin. It’s just that simple.
