SENATE: Right now, let’s get you caught up on some of the big-ticket Senate races, where the results thus far are a mixed bag.
HOUSE: NBC News has projected the Democrats will retain majority status in the House of Representatives.
TX-32: The Associated Press has projected that Colin Allred will win re-election in this district centered in suburban Dallas.
TX-31: Down in the Austin suburbs and exurbs, the GOP has held onto this seat as the AP has called the race for Republican Rep. John Carter.
NC-Gov: The Associated Press projects that Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper has won re-election.
GA-Sen: Doug Collins has tweeted that he has conceded the second slot in the now-near certain runoff to appointed incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R). Loeffler will now take on Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock in a runoff election on January 5th.
We have a trio of calls from the AP, all of which are GOP wins in races that were reaches for the Democrats:
NC-08: Republicans hold onto another reach seat for the Democrats as Rep. Richard Hudson (R) is re-elected.
FL-27: This one is an upset, and emblematic of the awful night for Democrats in South Florida. Maria Elvira Salazar avenges her 2018 defeat by defeating Rep. Donna Shalala 51-49, the AP projects.
KS-Sen: AP projects that Roger Marshall (R) has won this competitive race for the open U.S. Senate seat in Kansas.
AR-02: The Associated Press calls this race for Republican incumbent Rep. French Hill.
Polls have now closed on the West Coast: California, Oregon, and Washington
KS-02: The Associated Press has projected that the Republicans will hold this seat as Rep. Jake LaTurner has won.
