Center medallion for paradox's quilt
Our friend, paradox, suffers from a debilitating illness known as cyclic vomiting syndrome. He suffers from attacks of vomiting, lasting for days, that leave him unable to do anything except hunker down and suffer through. The condition has disabled him -- yet he looks to most people like there is nothing wrong with him. This is another source of suffering to paradox -- for the world at large has no idea what he goes through and people think there is nothing wrong with him.
We, however, do know -- and we care, without judgment. And we are sharing our caring with paradox in the form of a community quilt.
Backing fabric for paradox's quilt -- poppies
What is a community quilt? It is a colorful quilt that contains messages of love and support from you. Leave a short message for paradox in the comments below and I will transcribe it in archival ink on muslin. My sister and I will sew it into something that will comfort paradox when he is ill and bring him the pleasure of friendship on his good days. He'll be able to wrap himself in loving care anytime.
Timaeus' quilt. The backing fabric for this quilt is used in paradox's medallion.
It takes time and material to make a community quilt -- and it is our small living. Paradox's quilt is completely subscribed -- but we are short thirteen messages and need to collect them to complete his quilt. However, we are still short $330 for UnaSpenser's quilt -- and if you would like to support our work that way, here is a PayPal link. Thank you so much for your support!
